I can not say enough positive things about Smitty's. I own a fleet of small trucks and we take them to Smitty's every single time we can. We love the staff and the amazing service they provide. In all my career, I've never worked with people more knowledgable, more helpful, and fairer. I trust my fleet to them without hesitation.
If you want a mechanic you can trust with 3 generations of know how at their core, choose this place. You may know a guy who can do it cheaper. But, an old head once told me: Good and fast ain't cheap, good and cheap ain't fast and nothing fast and cheap is ever good. With Smitty's you never worry about corners being cut or a temporary fix being performed and not being told. They are 100% honest, fairly priced among all competitors, and I've personally witnessed Doug who works there ( he wears a lot of hats as does Jeff ) rebuild a known problematic part by hand, with a soldering iron and patience, because it was an outrageously expensive part that though it has a purpose, because of placement and the wiring the engineers chose, on average last less than 100k miles, and because it happens to be the park brake sensor, it is a potential safety issue. Hes fixed mine twice for that, and charged only labor. I cant say enough good things about these guys. And I haven't met a mechanic that I trusted to not have me paying for things I didn't need, since the mid 90s when our family mechanic tragically died in a collision with a very large whitetail buck. Don't go to a place just because its cheaper, come ere because you want it fixed once, not every month for years... let them service and repair your car/truck/suv or even small commercial vehicles like mine. I don't worry about anything they touch, ever. And for context, Im still worrying about the damage Mt St Helens did to the landscape when she blew up. ( obvious that Im being facetious, but I really never think twice about their diagnosis, or repair plans. They get it done and get it back to you. You're paying for experts, you hire experts because its the most efficient and cost effective way to do things. If you didn't hire these guys, do better next time, cut out the stress and anxiety of car trouble and just take it to Smitty's EVERY TIME.
Very nice and friendly staff, and always ready to help with questions and service.
Fixed my car and it works great. Dan
Excellent shop with extremely knowledgeable mechanics! I recommend Smitty’s to all my family and friends! Jeff and Doug are wonderful and truly care about their customers safety!
Thank you so much Smitty's Car Service. You have maintained our trucks for the past 3 years and given us peace of mind that our vehicles are in top condition. We appreciate your attention to detail and always making sure safety is your top priority. Your competitive pricing keeps us coming back showing that loyalty pays off.
Warning! avoid this repair store for anything other than basic needs. I was quoted over $2000 for a simple fix where I was up charged up sold and tacked on with things that needed replaced that were literally brand new. Price of parts is outrageous and certainly not trustworthy. My car was fixed and looked over at another repair store in Wadsworth for $180. Smitty’s advised me to probably dump the car or just pay $2000 so they lost all trust and they knew what they were saying and doing.
